Sweet and Spicy Squid

  • 500 grams Squid
  • 2 pieces Tomato
  • 2 pieces Chili (Siling Labuyo), minced (add more if prefer)
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Calamansi
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Ketchup
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Baguio Orchids Brand Vegetable Oil


  1. Heat Baguio Orchids Brand Vegetable Oil in a large fry pan.
  2. Sauté garlic and tomato for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the squid, pepper, ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, calamansi, chili, and salt if needed. Let it cook for 10-15 minutes until the squid is tender.
  4. Remove from the pan and transfer into a serving plate.
